La antigua fábrica estaba situada a las afueras de la ciudad, cuyo área de unos 9.500 metros cuadrados, incluía los terrenos de extracción de la arcilla para su producción, así como dos naves donde se almacenaban los materiales y dos hornos, uno de tipo moruno y otro de tipo Hoffman. En 1994, tras la adquisición de los terrenos por parte del ayuntamiento, se procedió a las obras de rehabilitación, al mismo tiempo que se ejecutaba el proyecto museístico, proceso que finalizó en el año 2000.

The old factory was located on the outskirts of the city, whose area of about 9,500 square meters, included the extraction grounds of the clay for its production, as well as two warehouses where the materials were stored and two kilns, one of the Moorish type and another Hoffman type.
